Season of thanks: Reflecting on what we're thankful for this year

Each year, we choose theme words for the following year. This year we landed on Gratitude and Growth for 2020 with the notion to "enjoy the journey." A fitting theme as we move into the season of thanks.

First and foremost, our focus is on gratitude. We find that when we are full of thanks first, the future just seems to fall into place. We are thankful for our family and friends, the relationships we've built and the clients we get to work with. We are blessed by doing work we love, having warm and comfortable homes and a variety of good food to eat, and our health.

In this vein, we wanted to share with you what our individual team members are thankful for this year; we know that without the support of our family, friends and wonderful colleagues, we would not be where we are today. We hope that by reading this post, you can pause to reflect on the things you are most thankful for. This exercise can give us renewed energy and pause to really think about the abundance of great things in our lives.

Julie Kimble, KimbleCo president

First and foremost, I am thankful for God and Jesus. I am thankful for my husband of 35 years, who is absolutely my rock, and my amazing children (and the wonderful careers they have). I am thankful for my extended family, especially my wonderful dad, and so many friends. I am thankful for the stellar team that we have at KimbleCo—they are fabulous at what they do and make work so enjoyable. I am thankful for our clients who entrust us with their business. I am also thankful for the beautiful outdoors and the four seasons we have in Minnesota (although, remind me of this in a couple of months!)

Ericka Miller, KimbleCo senior vice president

I am thankful for my family, both immediate and extended, and the fact that we are generally healthy! I am thankful for a career that I love and being surrounded by amazing co-workers and peers that often are also my close friends. I am grateful for the flexibility in my work, sunny days and walks with my dogs! And I am also thankful for the many supportive, fun friends in my community, neighborhood and beyond.

Kate Damato, broker associate

I am thankful for the love and support from my family and friends. I am thankful for my freedom—I get to vote, I get to go to work and my family is safe. I love the work that I do every day and the amazing team at KimbleCo makes it even better! I am grateful for the technology that allows us to work remotely and stay connected. I am also thankful for the beauty of nature all around us, no matter the season, and the ability to travel to see and appreciate other landscapes.

From all of us at KimbleCo, may you have a wonderful Thanksgiving with family and friends. Enjoy delicious meals together and remember to reflect on what you are thankful for this year.
